La Ligue Nouvelle-Aquitaine Baseball Softball a été invitée ce samedi à l’inauguration d’un nouveau bâtiment d’hébergement ainsi que des nouvelles structures. Les travaux sur le terrain de football sur lequel le Pôle Baseball s’entraînait sont enfin terminés. Le terrain rénové aurait dû être présenté à la Ministre des Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, mais un agenda très serré n’a pas permis cette visite.
Lors de son discours en présence de Madame la Ministre des Sports, de Madame la Rectrice de l’Académie de Bordeaux et de M. Alain Rousset, Président de la Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, le Directeur du CREPS, Patrice Béhague, a évoqué le Pôle Baseball comme utilisateur du terrain de football. Mme Laure Cattaï, Secrétaire Générale de la Ligue, a dit au Directeur du CREPS toute la joie de pouvoir enfin retrouver sa structure après deux années difficiles en terme d’utilisation d’espaces de jeu et d’entraînements. Il faut encore patienter puisqu’un défaut de pelouse a été constaté.
En attendant, nos jeunes Pôlistes vont s’entraîner au domaine sportif de Moulérens à Gradignan les mercredis et les jeudis. Le site se situe seulement à dix minutes en bus du CREPS. Une chance pour les jeunes du Pôle qui se préparent à deux échéances rapprochées au mois d’octobre : le tournoi d’Oviedo en Espagne du 6 au 8 et les rencontres Interpôles du 18 au 20.
